Always wanted to learn more about the Atlanta Police Department? Then consider joining our next Citizen's Police Academy this fall. The date will be announced soon. All sessions take place on Tuesdays from 6:00-9:00pm.
You must be at least 21 years old, a resident or employee who works in Metropolitan Atlanta and be able to pass a background check. For an application, please contact Elizabeth Espy, Director of Community Engagement and Events, at email@example.com.
The Atlanta Citizens Police Academy includes 24 hours of skilled and professional instruction delivered in three-hour sessions.
Classes topics may include: Department Overview, Crime Lab procedures, 911 operations, Airport, Narcotics, Internal Affairs, Identity Theft, Use of Force, Active Shooter, SWAT visit, homicide investigations and more!
The Citizens Police Academy is held at Atlanta Police Headquarters, 226 Peachtree St. SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30303 but does include off-site field trips.
