Welcome to the City of Atlanta’s Division Taxicabs and Vehicles for Hire (DTVH) official web pages. This site contains useful information for both DTVH’s regulated industries and the riding public. Our industries can obtain access to DTVH regulations; download DTVH forms, as well as up-to-date information about current events and business opportunities by viewing industry notices. Passengers can file complaint, compliments and report lost property. The public can also view all permitted taxicab companies, drivers, and vehicle information as well as rates of fare and passenger rights.

General Information
The Division of Taxicabs and Vehicles for Hire permits and registers over 3000 drivers, 1558 vehicles, 12 horse-drawn carriages, 22 taxi companies, and 3 carriage companies. We perform vehicle inspections, company inspections as well as monitor DTVH hearing panel, carriage, taxicabs and limousines services throughout the city and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to ensure compliance with city ordinances and regulations, and state laws. It is the mission of the Division of Taxicabs and Vehicles for Hire to ensure every City of Atlanta citizen and visitor have easy access to safe, reliable and clean taxicabs, carriages and vehicles for hire, and that every customer is treated with courtesy, dignity and genuine hospitality. We understand that our services are essential to the city’s overall tourism and business industry; therefore, our goal is to work with citizens, the vehicles for hire industry, operators, business leaders, the tourism industry and stakeholders to implement the highest standards of service which in turn, ensures customer satisfaction and promote the core values and objectives of the Atlanta Police Department and the City of Atlanta.
