Incident Report #211820274

On Thursday July 1, 2021, at around 3:25am officers responded to 1371 Kimberly Way SW on a report of a person shot. On scene officers found the victim, an adult female, with a gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation found that the victim had been inside her apartment when someone outside the apartment shot into the building striking her. Investigators learned that a neighbor in another apartment has been involved in an on-going dispute with an acquaintance and may have been the intended target. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition and the investigation is continuing.
