On January 2, 2022, at around 5:50 AM, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on I-75 Northbound near Cleveland Avenue. The preliminary investigation indicates a sedan was traveling north on I-75 when it came upon a motorcycle that appears to have been stopped in a lane of travel. The sedan struck the motorcycle, causing significant injuries to the cyclist. The cyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The Accident Investigations Unit was requested to the scene. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. At this time. The investigation continues.
