The Atlanta Police Department will be participating in the National Faith & Blue Weekend (NFBW) from Friday, October 7, 2022 through Monday, October 10, 2022. The mission of Faith and Blue is to facilitate safer, stronger, and unified communities by supporting partnerships between law enforcement and citizens through the connections of different faiths

The Community Services Division will be spearheading our weekend of activities and we want to ensure that the Atlanta Police Department is well-represented since this is the flagship city.

Some of the events we are planning are listening sessions between officers and residents, a Halloween Costume drive with PAL, and meaningful dialogues with the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths.

The Temple- SOS The Special Operations Section will be working with The Temple (1589 Peachtree Rd. NE	The Temple 1589 Peachtree Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30309	10:00am & 5:00pm	Mark Jacobson ED Temple mjacobson@the-temple.org	SOS units will have a learning session with the Weinberg Early Learning Center to engage youth and have a short display of police equipment and capabilities geared for a younger audience.
Special Operations and Salem Bible Church	Salem Bible Church -2283 Baker Rd. NW	12:00pm-2:00pm	Salem Bible Church -2283 Baker Rd. NW	Elements of Special Operations will participate in a food drive and Q&A session with the community and church leaders.
The Temple – worship Invite and Meet and Greet	The Temple 1589 Peachtree Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30309	5:00pm-8:00pm	Mark Jacobson ED Temple mjacobson@the-temple.org	The Temple invites LE representatives to be here before (beginning at 5:00 pm and up to 5:50 pm) and after services (usually around 7:15 pm) for some food/refreshments where our community could interact with those in attendance in the spirit of community conversations. We would include Rabbi Berg providing a thank you blessing during services calling LE participants to the front of the sanctuary

CSD- In-Person Listening Sessions	Central United Methodist Church 501 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30314	5:00pm-7:00pm	Central United Methodist Church / Fearless Dialogue/APD	A facilitated dialogue session with 10 APD police officers and 10 City of Atlanta citizens. The session would be focused on what each person’s experience has been concerning police/community interactions.
Zone 6 Coat Drive	Israel Baptist Church 2071 Hosea L Williams Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30317	1:00pm-5:00pm	Israel Baptist Church	Residents are encouraged to drop of new and gently used coats
APD Operations Section Overdue Library Book Drive	Public Safety Annex 3493 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy		Community Churches invited by APD Chaplain McIntyre	The Administrative Operations Section plans to host an overdue library book drive in partnership with community churches near our Public Safety Annex and representatives from our Metro Atlanta public libraries.
