As the Director of Code Enforcement for the Atlanta Police Department, Daphne Talley is responsible for the management of daily operations, development of an annual program, and coach and develop assigned support staff.

Mrs. Talley has worked in Code Enforcement for more than 20 years.  She served as a Code Enforcement Court Liaison before serving as the Code Enforcement Board Administrator for Fulton County Government.  Both positions allowed her work with the Law Department and the Solicitor’s office to understand and interpret various county codes. 

In 2007, she joined the Code Enforcement team under the Department of Planning and Community Development as a field supervisor.  In 2010, she was promoted to oversee the demolition and clean and close of abandoned properties through the Administrative In Rem process. 

After Code Enforcement operations and personnel transferred to the Atlanta Police Department, she became a POST Certified Instructor in 2012.  She created lessons plans that are used to train new and existing employees and for the Citizens Police Academy.   

In 2016, she was promoted to Deputy Director of Code Enforcement.  In this role, she assisted the Commander ensure daily operational efficiency with proactive oversight and corrections.  She created team strategies and established project scopes of works.
