Preliminary Information: On March 7th, 2024, around 5:46am, officers responded to a call regarding demonstrators at the location of 1421 Peachtree St. NE. Upon arrival, officers located a male who had chained and duct taped himself to an elevator shaft inside the building which is currently under construction. APD Homeland Security Investigators, and Zone 5 Units arrived on scene and was able to successfully remove the male from the device without incident. The male has been currently placed in APD custody with charges pending at this time. The remaining demonstrators have left the location. The investigation continues.
