Offers free hands-on training that teaches community members how to prepare themselves and their loved ones for disasters and how to help their families during an emergency.
Community members can take the 7-week class and use the information within their homes and neighborhoods, or they can choose to become ACERT volunteers to help with community events and emergencies across the City of Atlanta.
These individuals will receive continued training on various topics like sheltering, donation management, hazmat identification, reunification training, and so much more.
Our next basic training class starts on April 15 and will continue every Monday evening until the class ends on May 27. Classes will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Station 28. Signups for this class will end on April 1.
