Preliminary information: On Monday, August 16, 2021, at around 6:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to Grady Memorial Hospital located at 80 Jesse Hill Jr Dr SW on a male who arrived at the location by private vehicle suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The male was taken inside for further medical treatment and advised responding officers the shooting took place at Lenox Mall located at 3393 Peachtree Rd NE. Preliminary investigations revealed the shooting occurred when the victim was near the parking garage of the location and the shooting appeared to be targeted.  The suspect is believed to be driving a dark colored sedan that fled the scene after the shooting.  Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.
