Preliminary information:  On Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at around 3:07 p.m., Atlanta police responded to 1181 Westview Dr NW on a person shot call.  Upon arrival, they located a male alert, conscious and breathing with a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  On scene, officers spoke with a male who was identified as 17-year-old Jamal Chandler who stated he was playing with a gun when it accidently discharged, striking the victim.  Upon further investigation and after speaking with a witness, Mr. Chandler was charged with Reckless Conduct and Possession of a Firearm under the age of 18.  He was transported to the Fulton County jail and taken into their custody without incident.
