Preliminary Information: On 11/23/22, officers responded to 2069 Cheshire Bridge Rd in reference to threatening messages. Upon arrival, officers met with employees who stated they observed threatening remarks made towards their establishment on social media. Officers advised Detectives with the APD Homeland Security Unit and gathered further intelligence on the suspect which began the initial investigation.

On 11/24/22, officers responded to 1510 Piedmont Rd in reference to a terroristic threats. Officers made contact with employees and patrons who stated a person identified as Chase Staubs entered the premises and was asked to leave once identified. The person appeared to be the same individual involved in making bias terroristic threats towards 2069 Cheshire Bridge Rd and also on social media. Upon further investigation and intelligence, officers located a home address for the suspect. Officers conducted a knock and talk at the address and located Chase Staubs. He was arrested without incident and charged with Terroristic Threats. Officers recovered the weapon Staubs appeared to be holding in his threatening social media post. The weapon appeared to be a pepper-spray gun. Staubs was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
