Preliminary Information: On 4/3/23 around 12:18 am, officers responded to 349 Edgewood Ave NE in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male with a gunshot wound. The male was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was involved in a dispute with a male suspect inside of a restaurant establishment. The suspect was asked to leave. Upon leaving, the suspect waited for the victim to exit, then shot him. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.

This incident does not appear to be related to the shootings on John Wesley Dobbs or Piedmont at this time.
