Preliminary Information: On 1/5/23, around 12:33am, officers responded to 1896 Piedmont Rd NE in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Grady EMS responded to the scene and transported the male to the hospital in stable condition. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was with his girlfriend when he stopped at the incident location to make a purchase. A male suspect approached the victim and discharged a firearm, striking the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in what appeared to be a red Sedan. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
